Welcome to our IPSEA short course: 'Obtaining EHC plans'

The learning outcomes for this course are:
- To understand the legal test for an Education, Health and Care (EHC) needs assessment
- To understand what should happen in an EHC needs assessment
- To understand the legal test for issuing an EHC plan
We are covering this topic because some children and young people with special educational needs require an EHC plan – if their needs can’t be met from the resources available to a mainstream school.
