Our combined package will enrol you on the IPSEA learning path for parents and carers. You will be enrolled on our Levels 1, 2 and 3 training. You will work through these in succession starting with Level 1 and you will have 18 months to complete the three courses.. Level 1 / Elementary SEND Law Online Learning Our modular online course looks in detail at the scope of special educational needs and disability (SEND) law. It is more in-depth than the Foundation Level and covers additional material. It is aimed at professionals supporting and advising parents or parents themselves who wish to gain a greater knowledge. Level 2 / Intermediate SEND Law Online Learning This modular online course builds on the learning acquired in the Level 1 / Elementary online learning and face-to-face training to give a more in-depth knowledge of certain areas of law relating to children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.The online course also aims to provide an introduction to the elements of health and social care law which would be relevant to a child or young person who had or wished to have an Education Health and Care plan (“EHC plan”). The course relates to the law as it applies in England. Level 3 / Advanced SEND Law Online Learning We have devised IPSEA's Level 3 training as an advanced level training for those who have successfully completed Level 1 and Level 2. It will enable you to take your understanding of the law relating to the education and training of children and young people with SEND even further, but with a particular emphasis on gaining knowledge to support parents and young people to bring different types of appeal to the SEND Tribunal. You will be enrolled on our suite of online training courses, and will need to complete each course in succession. On completion of each course, you will be issued with a certificate before moving on to the next level. You will have eighteen months from purchasing your courses to complete your training, allowing you to learn at your own pace when and where it is most convenient for you. All of our online training courses are accompanied by comprehensive resources which you can keep for future reference. This enrolment includes your sign up for our Legal Updates subscription. Your details will be added to our subscription list by our team for your termly updates on the latest developments in SEND Law for twelve months. Overview and purpose This modular online course looks in detail at the scope of special educational needs and disability (SEND) law. It is aimed at professionals supporting and advising parents or parents themselves who wish to gain a greater knowledge. Summary The course is in 10 sequential modules All modules must be undertaken to complete the course The pass mark is 75%, on successful completion you will receive a certificate which details your proficiency in each module Learners do not get an index of wrong or right answers. If you score lower in particular modules you can refer to the resources to refresh your learning If you fail the pass mark you are given one more opportunity to complete the course. Audience This course aimed at professionals advising and supporting parents and carers of children and young people with SEND including: Teachers, School Governors, SENCOs, Learning Support Assistants and advisory professionals although it would also be suitable for parents who have completed the Foundation Level online learning and wished to increase their knowledge of this area of law. It is not necessary to have prior knowledge of SEN law in order to take this online course. Course delivery and cost This is an online course. Each module takes approximately three hours to complete and you have six months to complete the course.
